Social-emotional learning (SEL) changes lives—studies show that SEL improves well-being and academic outcomes, builds a positive school climate, and provides children with the necessary skills to excel in today’s workforce. Yet many members of our communities don’t know about SEL yet.
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (SAFE) will be offering the FREE B4 the Bell (before school programming) starting March 1st at elementary & middle schools. All parents who would like their child(ren) to attend will need to apply.
The Parent Power presentation provides tips for parents on how to keep their children away from destructive behaviors and how to develop strong and positive relationships with their children while implementing effective and healthy discipline strategies.
Through a partnership with the California Emerging Technology Fund and Sigma Beta Xi, Hemet USD families have an opportunity to receive technology training and a free Chromebook.
