English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) and District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)

The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is an advisory group that provides support to the school principal on programs and services for English Learners and the School Site Council on the distribution of Title 1 funds. For meeting dates, please contact your school staff.

The District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) is an advisory group that supports the Director of English Learner Services in the development of the English Learner Master Plan. This master plan provides guidance and direction to administrators, teachers, support staff, students, and families regarding the expectations that the Hemet Unified School District holds for English Language Development (ELD). The committee is comprised of school staff, parents of English learner students, other parents, and community members who are interested in English learner programs.

School Site Council (SSC)

School Site Councils (SSC) are elected committees, composed of parents, school staff, community members, and the principal. This group helps identify programs and resources to support student learning. They annually support the development of the school plan and school budget to ensure that all student's and parent's needs are served. Elections are held every year. Contact your school principal for more information.

Wellness Advisory Committee

The Hemet USD Wellness Committee is dedicated to embracing, educating, and empowering our students, staff, and families in developing the knowledge and skills needed to make healthy choices to live the best life possible. Parents/ guardians, teachers, students, food service professionals, school administrators, board representatives, and members of the public are encouraged to join.
