Bridging the Digital Divide

Through a partnership with the California Emerging Technology Fund and Sigma Beta Xi, Hemet USD families have an opportunity to receive technology training and receive a free Chromebook. During this virtual training, participants will learn about basic computer terminology, digital citizenship, internet safety, and social media. Devices will be distributed to participants on a first come first serve basis following the completion of the following:
 
1. One parent from the household attends a one-time 2- hour technology training. Register here or contact the Parent Resource Center at (951) 765- 0004. Note: Participation will be limited to 150 participants per class. 
 
2. One parent from the household completes a digital access survey.

3. One parent completes the Chromebook agreement. (This is provided on-site after the above two prerequisites have been met).
